Choc-a-block 1: Truffles

Last December, we celebrated the festive season by inviting friends, fans and the public to come and learn how to make their very own chocolate baubles in our production kitchen. Christmas is undoubtedly the perfect time of year to make chocolate, make friends and make merry - the class was a roaring success!

The chocolate making class at Happy Endings has increased my love of chocolate even more - and was one of the most fun afternoons ever. The hands on tempering was totally fascinating - giving you enough of the science to feel like a chocolate whizz. And with the decorating the whole group got into their creative zones. A delicious and essential experience for fellow chocolate addicts.

We’re kicking off the new year with release of the first in a series exploring the magic of chocolate. The ‘Choc-a-block 1: Truffles’ workshop will begin with a choice of welcome drink followed by an introduction to chocolate by Happy Endings founder and chocolate fanatic, Terri Mercieca.

Attendees can expect to walk away with a solid understanding of:

  • chocolate tempering  (yum!)

  • cocoa butter chocolate colour - that’s kind we use for decorating all of our tasty treats

  • how to make raspberry and champagne ganache AND dulce de leche truffle fillings

  • a box of incredible chocolate truffles handmade by you, to be scoffed on the tube home or gifted to a loved one, at your discretion

Happy Endings uses strictly the highest quality, sustainable ingredients in everything we do - including our workshops. We keep our classes as small as possible to ensure that each one of our guests gets the expert guidance they need to walk away absolutely bowled over by their very own chocolate creations. Tickets are available in our online shop, please sign up early to avoid disappointment.

Tickets for our next class, Making the Most of Custard, will be released on the 19th of February before we return to our Choc-a-block series for with an egg-cellent Easter instalment in Spring!
